Shira Ankori
Editor
A film editor and voice-over artist with over two decades of experience, Shira Ankori has carved a unique path through the creative landscape of visual storytelling. Her vast experience cutting everything from national commercial campaigns for broadcast and digital platforms to film, documentary, social media, interactive, and branded content has helped Shira garner a reputation as a masterful creative collaborator adept at crafting stories in virtually any form or genre.
As an award-winning commercial editor, Shira has worked with some of the world’s largest agencies including Publicis, Grey, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Deutsch, and clients such as Walmart, Gatorade, BMW, Taco Bell, Toyota, and P&G.
Establishing her developed sense of storytelling and musicality early on through years of training as a ballet dancer at the School of American Ballet, as a pianist at the Manhattan School of Music, and later on as a dance major at New York’s La Guardia High School of Music and Art and the Performing Arts, Shira turned her eye towards editing as a film major at Boston University. She then cut her teeth at edit houses across New York City, and further honed her craft in Los Angeles for almost a decade.
In 2022 Shira’s creative journey expanded to Europe. While living in Luxembourg, she ventured into feature documentaries, an international experience that only broadened her creative perspective and connected her with a global community of artists.
Shira returned to New York City in late 2024 and is currently living with her family in Brooklyn.
