Greensboro, NC native Alex Hughes has vast experience in editing social media content for celebrities like Will Smith and Jessica Chastain, behind-the-scenes content for academy award-winning films like King Richard and The Eyes of Tammy Faye, award-winning social media campaigns for Peacock’s Bel-Air, and branded content for the likes of Amazon, Zoom, Ulta Beauty, Torrid, Ultimate Ears, and Nike. After graduating from UNC School of the Arts in 2016, a short film he wrote and edited called It’s Alright premiered in Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner. Upon his return from France, he moved to Los Angeles to start his career in Hollywood, assistant editing for shows like Alex Morgan: The Equalizer (ESPN+ Documentary Series), Crossing Swords (Hulu Animation), Pavarotti (Hulu Documentary), and the 2020 Apple Music Awards.

Alex moved back to North Carolina in 2020, continuing to work west coast jobs remotely until he joined 11 Dollar Bill in 2024.
